1.2 Parent Profile Information

When you add a parent to Shravan, you may provide:

• Name, age, gender, phone/WhatsApp number
• Medical conditions, blood group, height, weight
• Dietary preferences and allergies
• Home address and emergency contact information
• Preferred language for communication

1.3 Health Data

Through WhatsApp conversations and the dashboard, we collect:

• Blood pressure readings, pulse rate, and glucose levels
• Medicine schedules, dosages, and adherence records
• Doctor appointments and medical notes
• Nutrition and meal information
• Emotional wellbeing and mood indicators

1.4 Conversation Data

We store WhatsApp messages exchanged between your parent and the Shravan AI assistant, including:

• Text messages, voice note transcriptions, and photo analyses
• AI-generated responses and actions taken
• Messages sent by family members through the dashboard

1.5 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by our payment partner, Dodo Payments. We store only:

• Last four digits of your card, card brand, and expiry date
• Subscription status and billing history

We do not store full card numbers, CVVs, or banking details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide care services: Power AI conversations, health monitoring, medicine reminders, and emergency alerts for your parent
• Display dashboards: Show you health trends, conversation history, and activity summaries
• Send notifications: Alert you about emergencies, health anomalies, missed medicines, and appointments
• Improve our AI: Enhance the quality and accuracy of AI responses (using aggregated, anonymized patterns only)
• Process payments: Manage subscriptions and order payments
• Provide support: Respond to your help requests and support tickets
• Send communications: Service updates, wellness summaries, and product announcements (with your consent)

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to deliver our platform:

• Firebase (Google Cloud): Authentication, database storage, and hosting infrastructure
• Twilio: WhatsApp message delivery to and from your parent
• OpenAI: AI language model (GPT-4o) for processing conversations and providing intelligent responses
• ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech audio generation for voice responses in 11 Indian languages
• Dodo Payments: Subscription and payment processing
• Resend: Email delivery for account-related communications
• Vercel: Website and API hosting

Each third-party provider has their own privacy policy and data handling practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase/Firestore) infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit
• Authentication tokens are encrypted and expire after 7 days
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with industry-standard salt rounds
• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Access to production databases is restricted to authorized personnel only

5. Health Data Handling

We recognize the sensitive nature of health data and take extra precautions:

• Health data is stored in a dedicated, secured database
• Health records are linked only to parent profiles and accessible only by the associated family member
• We do not sell, rent, or share health data with advertisers or data brokers
• AI-processed health data is used only to provide care insights to you and your parent
• Shravan AI is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in these circumstances:

• With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing
• Service providers: Third-party services listed above, only to the extent necessary to provide our services
• Legal obligations: When required by law, court order, or government regulation
• Safety: To protect the safety of users in genuine emergency situations

7. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable laws, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal data

8. Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as your account is active
• Health data is retained as long as the associated parent profile exists
• Conversation history is retained for the lifetime of the parent profile
• When you delete a parent profile, associated health records, conversations, and reminders are removed
• Account deletion removes all personal data within 30 days

9. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses:

• Essential cookies: Authentication tokens to keep you signed in
• Analytics: Google Analytics (via Google Ads gtag) to understand website usage patterns

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is designed for adult family members managing care for elderly parents. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
